7 fratelli, The reign of Nature

People who love naturalistic excursions can admire the enchanting “Sette Fratelli” forest, through an excursion that enables the tourist to appreciate the different Sardinian environments, characterized by a considerable biodiversity of fauna and flora. 

When you cover the roads and the unsurfaced roads by comfortable off-road vehicles, you plunge into the typical Mediterranean forest with its holm-oaks, cork-oaks, arbutuses, heather and myrtle bushes, which scent with their perfumes the environment and colour it with different green shades .

It extends for about 6,190 hectares and its name derives from the main part of the forest which is occupied by the Massif of the “Sette Fratelli”, a small mountain chain with an average height of 800 metres whose highest peak is “Punta Ceraxia”(1016 metres). 



This Massif is composed by a big block of granite which with its grey shades and its smoothed surfaces characterizes the environment of the State Forest.
During this excursion there will be different stops where the environmental guides will show you the numerous properties of the Mediterranean vegetation and if you are lucky you could see the Sardinian deer; besides it will be possible to visit an intact Nuraghe plunged into the forest.
In this excursion there will be a stop in the middle of the forest where you can have a typical Sardinian.
